What we serve at the live pizza oven
The menu is built around the pies people actually reach for at a party. Every pie starts with our dough, a bright tomato sauce and whole-milk mozzarella, then goes into an oven that runs far hotter than a home kitchen. A pie bakes in a few minutes, so the chef keeps a steady rotation going and guests rarely wait long for a fresh slice.
We usually run three or four varieties at a time and rotate them so there's always something new coming out. You can pick the lineup ahead of time, and we'll suggest a mix based on your crowd.
- Classic cheese, the one the kids line up for
- Veggie pies with broccoli, peppers, onions, olives or mushrooms
- Margherita-style with fresh basil
- Crowd favorites like ziti-style or garlic-and-herb white pies
- Personal-size pies for younger guests, when you ask ahead
How our pizza oven catering works on the day
Our crew arrives ahead of your guests to set up the oven, the prep counter and the serving line, and to bring the oven up to temperature. By the time your first guests walk in, the first pies are ready to go.
During the event the pizza chef shapes, tops and bakes to order while an attendant slices and serves. Guests can come back as often as they like during your serving window. When serving wraps up, we pack the oven, wipe down the area and haul everything away, so your space looks the way we found it.
Because it's a live station, it doubles as entertainment. Kids crowd around to watch the dough go in, and adults tend to linger by the oven. It's a natural centerpiece for a backyard or a field.
Pizza station pricing
Live Oven Pizza starts from $1,200 for 50 guests and 2 hours of serving, before tax, with each additional guest at $15. That covers the pizza chef and crew, the oven, all the ingredients, plates and napkins, plus setup and cleanup. Want the oven going longer? Extra serving time can be added by the hour.
Travel within our New York and New Jersey service area is included, there's no event minimum, and your written quote confirms the price for your exact guest count.
Space, power and setup
A portable pizza oven needs open air, so this station is usually set up outdoors: a backyard, driveway, parking lot, field or a covered patio. Some halls and venues allow it near a loading door or on a terrace; we'll check your venue's rules with you before we book.
Plan on roughly a 10-by-15-foot area on level ground, with space for guests to line up without crowding the oven. We'll confirm the exact footprint, and whether we need an outlet for lighting or warmers, on your quote. For outdoor events, a tent or covered spot for the serving line is a smart backup if the weather turns.
Best occasions for a pizza station
Pizza is the one food almost every guest agrees on, which makes it a safe anchor for big mixed crowds. It's a hit at backyard birthday parties, block parties where neighbors drift in and out, and graduation parties where you need to feed a lot of people without a sit-down meal.
Schools love it for field days and end-of-year celebrations, and it works just as well for an office lunch outdoors or a casual late-night bite at a wedding.
What to pair with it
Most hosts round out pizza with something crispy and something cold. The French fry bar and soft serve are the classic combination, and together with pizza they make up our Block Party pack. For a bigger school or community crowd, add the slush cart for a cold drink-and-dessert in one.
