Why live stations work at weddings
Guests at a wedding spend hours dressed up, dancing and talking, and they get hungry in waves. Live stations cook to order at the moment people want food, which keeps cocktail hour lively and gives the late part of the night a second wind.
Stations also add atmosphere. A glowing pizza oven, a crepe made in front of you or a barista pulling espresso feels personal in a way a passed tray doesn't.
Stations are also flexible in a way plated courses aren't. They can stand on their own for a casual backyard wedding, or slot in beside your main caterer as a cocktail-hour feature, a dessert moment or a late-night surprise the guests didn't see coming. Couples often tell guests nothing and let the pizza oven appear at eleven o'clock as the reveal of the night.
Wedding stations and snack carts guests love
For cocktail hour, a crepe bar or a coffee and espresso bar adds a touch of theater. The coffee bar also shines after dinner, alongside the cake.
Late-night food is where stations really earn their place. The Live Oven Pizza station and the fry bar are the classic pair for the last hour on the dance floor. For dessert, the soft serve cart or a mini donut station gives guests one more sweet thing to grab on the way out.
- Cocktail hour: crepe bar, coffee bar, waffle pops
- Late-night snacks: pizza, fry bar
- Dessert hour: soft serve cart, mini donuts, churros and fried Oreos
- Showers and engagement parties: crepes, coffee bar, soft serve
Working with your venue and planner
Every venue has its own rules about outside caterers, kitchen use, open flames and load-in. Ask your venue first whether outside food stations are allowed and what they require. Once you know, we'll coordinate timing, load-in and placement directly with your venue contact or planner.
Late-night stations usually set up quietly during dinner or dancing and open at the time you choose. Tell us the run of show and we'll plan around toasts, the first dance and the cake.
Planning tips for wedding food stations
For about 100 guests, one late-night station plus one dessert option is a comfortable plan. If you're adding a station to a full dinner, a shorter serving window often fits better, and if the party runs long, extra hours can be added.
Indoor ballrooms, tents and outdoor lawns can all work. The pizza oven and fry bar need the most space and venue approval; carts are compact and fit easily beside a dance floor or patio. We'll confirm space and power for your exact setup on your quote.
Sample wedding combos
A few combinations couples choose most often. The late-night favorite, Live Oven Pizza, starts from $1,200 for 50 guests with two hours of serving and our pizza chef included.
- Late-night Live Oven Pizza + fry bar
- Crepe bar for cocktail hour
- Coffee & Espresso Bar with dessert
- Soft serve cart + mini donuts for a dessert hour
